Serenity

Serenity is a soft, naturally textured, angelic look with natural earthy shades & pale ashes.

Style: Curl hair to create textured tousles. You can loosely tie in a fish tail plait & back comb for more texture. Scrunch Bb Texture into wet hair & scrunch dry in & thickening spray for extra volume & hold.

Make-Up: Natural shades with gold sparkle & glitter around the eyes. Aveda rehydrating lip glaze in Coral Sea gives a nude shiny finish & moisturises during the cold months.

Neo Goth

Neo Goth is a very strong & seductive look, consisting of bold colours with rich deep tones.

Style: The texture is sleek, shiny & smooth. You can create this look by using Defrizz serum to dry into the hair for a frizz free finish & high shine. Use Gellac to control fly aways & static for a sleek pony tail with lots of hold.

Make-Up: The make-up is also very strong. Natural paler bases with strong eyebrows & oxblood tone lip colour. Aveda lip colour pigment in Sheer Saffron gives a long lasting colour without staining.

Grecian Boho

Nicola’s hair is naturally course thick and extremely curly. She came in with dark blonde hair.

Colour: Warm copper, & fine & thick blonde slices for natural textures. I stretched the root colour down on various pieces for depth & extra definition.

Cut: I kept as much length as possible & added shorter disconnected layers through the top to create height & volume. Slicing though the top layer creates blended look of the disconnected layers.

Style: Curl Conscious Defining Crème through root to end & rough dried hair to create volume. Using the Gold Max Styler I waved, crimped & curled the length. I backcombed the crown section to give a beehive shape & gently folded hair around finishing with Curl Conscious Reactivating Mist & Does It All Styling Spray for a light hold, natural, 'unkept' look. Add random fishtail plaits to give that Grecian finish.

Ignite

Faye arrived with a dark brown/red base, a long one length bob, with no fringe.

Colour: I applied a fiery copper base gloss, adding shine & condition. I applied over pre lightened hair with Aveda natural colour range meaning that no damage is caused to hair even when lifting.

Cut: I slightly graduated into the neck to give an angle down to the jaw line & volume through the crown area. I textured shorter layers & gave a stronger fringe for a classic but versatile look.

Style: I blow-dried with Styling Lotion for a natural hold & defined layers. I smoothed with Gold Classic Styler & Styling Wax for textured edges & shine.

Saintly Pure

Colour: Soft caramel tones running though the underneath of a rich chocolate base to exaggerate the shape & add shine.

Cut: The cut is longer at the side to give length to the face, with shorter inverted layers at the back for a solid & structured shape. Soft textured layers encourage curls but leave it slightly heavier through the top section & around the face.

Style: I blow–dried smooth using Air Dryer for volume & shine with Defrizz serum. I curled the underneath with Gold Classic Styler & backcombed for an angelic & natural look.

Couture

Steffie has natural Afro Caribbean hair.

Colour: I applied the Aveda Gloss to improve softness & shine to her course thick hair. A natural black with a red tone to add warmth & a rich glow.

Style: Whilst wet I applied Curl Conscious Calming Crème which is anti frizz & anti humidity to ensure that Steffie’s hair stayed straight for longer & to give incredible shine. The hair was then blow-dried straight using the Air Dryer & a large paddle brush, then smoothed over with the Gold Classic Styler. I collected the hair into a high ponytail & created a large barrel curl through the front section giving a creative & different edge to a classic up do.
