- I am booked in during the lockdown period, what will happen to my booking?
(For treatment, day, evening, and overnight spa breaks)
Our sales team are currently in the process of contacting all bookings affected by the closure due to the Government’s announcement on 31.10.2020. Please rest assured your booking is secure and we will uphold your reservation for a future date. This will be done free of charge.
- Are you offering refunds? No refunds are being offered at this stage. We will be working with all guests to move their affected bookings to a future date so that they can come and enjoy the spa.
- Will my booking be honoured when you reopen?
Yes, when we reopen you can rearrange your booking, rest assured your booking will be the exact same.
- I have a voucher; will this be extended?
We will look to extend vouchers once back in the business. Don’t worry if your voucher is due to expire whilst we are in lockdown – we will be able to assist once we are back.
- Will the phone lines and offices be open during the closure period?
All forms of contact (Phone lines, email, and social media) will not be monitored throughout the lockdown period. Please refrain from contacting us during the closure where possible and we will ensure all guests are aware when the team are back in the business.
- I have a restaurant reservation for November, will this be cancelled? All restaurant bookings will automatically be cancelled. If you have paid a deposit for an afternoon tea booking, you will shortly receive a voucher for this amount.
- I have a booking after the 3rd December, will this go ahead?
Yes, at this current time our December bookings are planned to go ahead. Should this change the team will be in contact when our offices re-open.
- I have tickets for an Event in December 2020, will this still go ahead?
Yes, at this current time our December events are planned to go ahead. Should this change we will contact you.
- When will you reopen?

Covid Event FAQ’s
What happens if the Christmas Event I’m attending gets cancelled due to Covid19?
If we are unable to host the event due to Covid19 your deposit will be transferred onto a Moddershall Oaks Monetary Voucher. (12 month expiry)
If you have paid the balance for your tickets this will be refunded to you.
What happens if the Christmas event is going ahead but I can’t attend due to restrictions where I live or because I have to isolate?
If you cancel more than 48 hrs in advance of the event then the same applies. The deposit is transferable onto a voucher and the balance (if already paid) is refundable.
However if you cancel with less than 48 hrs until the event then the full amount paid will be transferable to a Moddershall Oaks Monetary Voucher. (12 month expiry).
Arriving in a strange place can seem a bit daunting – how will I find my way around?
Don’t worry you’ll be met by friendly staff and given a guided tour when you arrive and remember, while you are here we are always on hand to help. Never be too shy to ask questions.
I’ve booked in for a massage, when I arrive how should I prepare?
Arrive as early as you can in order to relax prior to your spa treatment.
What if I feel nervous and tense during my first time with a therapist?
Let go. It may seem strange at first but just let go of your mind and body – let the therapist do what he or she does best.
Can I still come if I’m pregnant?
Of course you can, although you will have to avoid hydrotherapy, sauna and steam rooms and certain treatments. At Moddershall Oaks we have special fitness programmes and spa treatments for pregnant ladies – please make sure you tell us if you are or suspect you are pregnant.
What if I have a physical ailment, disability or allergy?
Just let us know – when you book if you can, and we will customise your spa treatments accordingly.
What is the dress code?
Very casual. You are here to relax and you will find many people make the most of that opportunity by wearing robes or gym wear around Moddershall, even at breakfast and lunch. For evening dinner you may want to change into something a bit less casual. At Moddershall Oaks the choice is yours – absolutely.
Do men go to Moddershall?
Yes. There are many men who want to relax, unwind and develop a healthier lifestyle, whether on their own or as part of a couple. We cater for men as well as women and even have treatments geared specifically for them. There are also great fitness and leisure opportunities at Moddershall Oaks from our up-to-the-minute gym to the tennis court in our superb grounds.
Is there an age restriction?
Yes, at Moddershall we want adults to be able to relax away from all responsibilities. That’s why we have a minimum age of 16 years in place.

Moddershall Oaks is the ideal location for your first spa experience. All our people are warm, welcoming and helpful. We will put you at ease as soon as you step into Moddershall – making your first impression a positive and relaxing one. Thereafter, we will be on hand at all times to guide and help you.
